The Team
Meet the people behind your new smile – a close-knit team of prosthetists, dentists, and support staff who make every step of your denture journey calm, personal, and refreshingly human. Based in Subiaco, Perth, we’re a one-chair clinic, which means whoever you’re with has only one priority: you.
James
Prosthetist
I’m James, a Dental Prosthetist at Haylo Dentures. I’ve always enjoyed hands-on work, and making/fitting dentures turned out to be the perfect combination of technical skill and helping people in a real, meaningful way.
What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the change in someone from their first appointment to the final result. A lot of patients come in feeling unsure or self-conscious, and being able to help them feel comfortable and confident again is easily the most rewarding part of what I do. I like to keep things simple and clear so patients always understand what’s happening and feel confident throughout the process.
I also run my own lab, which means I’m involved in every stage, from the initial design right through to the final product. I use digital tools and 3D printing to improve accuracy and efficiency, but I still believe it’s the small details and personal touch that make the biggest difference.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my partner, daughter and our golden retriever, Atlas. We love to take Atlas on adventures and love putting up with his constant cheeky behaviour at home.
I am always learning and working on new ideas for both Haylo and my lab. I enjoy building systems, improving workflows, and finding ways to create a better overall experience for patients. I’m always looking for ways to do things smarter and more efficiently.
Karis
Clinic Coordinator
Hi, my name is Karis and I’m the Clinic Coordinator here at Haylo Dentures. I’ve been part of this amazing team for over three years, and I genuinely love it more as time goes on. My role includes working at reception, managing admin tasks, supporting our patients, coordinating the day-to-day flow of the clinic, and helping lead our marketing and social media. I’m also involved in organising schedules, supporting the team behind the scenes, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Most importantly, I always try to be a friendly and welcoming face for everyone who walks through the door.
I’ve always been a people person, so having such a patient-focused role is something I really value. Getting to know each patient and hearing their story is a privilege, and I think it makes a real difference in both their experience and in how I do my job.
Outside of Haylo, I’m studying at university to become a Primary School Teacher. I’ve always known I wanted a career centred around helping people, but it wasn’t until high school, after having a really inspiring teacher, that I realised teaching was the path for me.
Recently, I spent three weeks in Cambodia volunteering in a school and teaching English. It was something I had always dreamed of doing, and it completely confirmed that teaching is what I want to do. I fell in love with the country, the culture, and especially the people. The kids I worked with had such a big impact on me, and it’s an experience I’ll always carry with me. It made me even more excited about the career path I’m working towards. I am planning on going back to Cambodia for a longer trip to do more volunteering in the future.
In my free time, I love anything creative. I’m always working on some kind of arts and crafts project, whether that’s crocheting, painting, drawing, or embroidery. I usually have music, an audiobook, or a binge-worthy show playing in the background while I work on my latest project.
Being part of the Haylo team has taught me so much over the years, both professionally and personally. It has helped me grow in confidence, build meaningful connections, and develop skills that I know I’ll carry with me into my future career. I’m really grateful to be part of such a supportive and positive environment, and I’m excited to see what new experiences and challenges are still to come.
Daisy
Patient Support
Hi, I’m Daisy and I’m part of the support team at Haylo. I work across administration and reception, helping keep everything running smoothly day to day. I’m often one of the first people you’ll see when you arrive, and I really enjoy creating a warm and welcoming environment for every client.
I understand that dental visits can feel a bit daunting, especially for people who may have had difficult experiences in the past. Because of that, I always try to make sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease from the moment they walk through the door.
One of the things I love most about working at Haylo is meeting new people and being able to follow their journey from start to finish. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the confidence that comes with each transformation, and I feel lucky to play even a small part in that process. I take pride in helping create a positive and supportive experience for every patient.
Alongside my work, I’m currently studying a double degree in Law and Criminology and Criminal Justice. I’ve always had a strong interest in crime and the legal system, and I enjoy learning more about how it all works and how it impacts people’s lives. I also work in this field outside of Haylo.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy staying active by playing soccer, both socially and competitively, spending time at the beach, and trying new cafés and restaurants. I’m also a big fan of true crime and thriller books, series, and movies. I have a cocker spaniel named Murphy who keeps life fun and busy.
I grew up in Geraldton before moving to Perth to study, and I’ve been lucky enough to travel to places like New Caledonia, New Zealand, and Thailand.
I really enjoy being part of a team that helps people feel more confident and comfortable, and I’m always happy to be a friendly and supportive presence at Haylo.
Tamsin
Patient Support
Hi, I’m Tamsin and I’m part of the team here at Haylo.
I’m currently studying my Master’s in Architecture, which I’m really passionate about. I’ve always been drawn to creative work, whether that’s designing spaces, thinking about how people experience environments, or finding thoughtful ways to improve everyday life. I think that’s a big part of why I enjoy working at Haylo, as helping people feel more comfortable and confident in their smile is incredibly rewarding.
One of my favourite parts of the role is getting to know patients and their stories. Everyone comes in with different experiences and often a bit of nervousness, so I really value being able to support people through that and help make the process feel calm and positive. Even small moments of reassurance can make a big difference, and that’s something I always try to bring into my work.
Outside of work and university, I love travelling. I’m always thinking about my next trip or reflecting on the last one. I really enjoy experiencing new places, cultures, and ways of living, and it’s something that constantly inspires me both personally and creatively.
I also have a ginger rescue cat named Penelope, who keeps me company while I’m working on assignments. She has a big personality and definitely keeps my days interesting.
I genuinely love being part of the Haylo team. It’s such a supportive environment, and it means a lot to be part of a clinic that truly cares about its patients and the experience they have with us. I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow here and seeing what the future holds.
Dr Christina
Dentist
Hi, I’m Christina and I’m one of the dentists here at Haylo.
With over a decade of experience in dentistry, I’m passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a calm and supportive environment. Over the years, I’ve developed a particular interest in dental extractions and take pride in making these procedures as comfortable and efficient as possible.
I’ve always been especially drawn to working with anxious and nervous patients. I understand that visiting the dentist can feel overwhelming, so I focus on helping people feel at ease from the moment they arrive. By taking the time to listen, building trust, and working at a pace that suits each individual, I aim to create a positive experience, even for those who may have avoided dental care in the past.
For me, building genuine relationships with patients is a big part of the job. I believe that clear communication and empathy go a long way in helping people feel supported and more confident in their oral health. There’s nothing better than seeing someone leave not only with a healthier smile, but also feeling more comfortable and reassured about their dental care.
Alongside my work at Haylo, I also practise in private dentistry, where I continue to grow my skills and work with a wide range of patients.
As a parent of two children, I understand the importance of patience, reassurance, and creating a safe and supportive environment. These are qualities I bring into my work every day, and I always aim to make each visit a positive and empowering experience.
Dr Ash
Dentist
Hi, I’m Ash and I’m one of the dentists here at Haylo Dental.
I feel really lucky to be part of such a kind and supportive team. Being part of a clinic that truly cares about every person who walks through the door is something that’s really important to me. I find it incredibly rewarding to support our patients, especially those who may feel anxious, and to be there for them throughout their time in the clinic.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my role is seeing the difference that quality dental care can make in someone’s life. While I’m only one part of a person’s health journey, helping someone regain confidence in their smile can have a huge impact on their overall wellbeing. It’s a privilege to be part of that process.
I’ve completed further training in dental implants and sedation techniques, and I’m passionate about making dental care as comfortable and accessible as possible. I believe everyone deserves to feel safe and heard, especially those who may feel nervous about visiting the dentist. We also use digital workflows in our practice to improve comfort, accuracy, and efficiency, helping make each visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Alongside my work at Haylo, I also work in other private clinics, which allows me to stay up to date with a wide range of clinical advancements and bring that experience back to my patients here.
Outside of work, I’ve recently stepped into a new chapter of life with a newborn at home, which has been both exciting and busy. It’s taught me a lot about patience, empathy, and the importance of a calm and reassuring presence, all of which I bring into my work every day.
I really look forward to meeting you and helping you feel comfortable and supported throughout your dental journey.
Dr Francis
Dentist
Hi, I’m Francis and I’m one of the dentists here at Haylo. I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Perth with my family when I was three years old. I’m fluent in English and Cantonese, and I also speak Mandarin.
I’m a caring and patient-focused dentist who enjoys all aspects of dentistry. I’ve worked in both public and private settings, and one of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping patients improve their oral health while also regaining confidence in their smile.
I understand that visiting the dentist can feel a bit daunting for some people, so I always aim to create a calm and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable and heard. I take the time to listen, explain treatment clearly, and work closely with each person to find an approach that suits their individual needs.
I’m passionate about providing high-quality care and regularly attend professional development courses to stay up to date with the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry. This allows me to offer my patients the best possible treatment options.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports like golf and tennis, watching movies, and travelling.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you feel comfortable and confident in your dental care.
Paulina
Dental Nurse/Assistant
My name is Paulina, and at Haylo I support patients and dentists during Saturday extraction appointments. What I love most about working with Haylo patients is being part of something genuinely meaningful. These appointments often mark the beginning of a smile journey that many people have been working towards for a long time. My role is to make sure that journey runs smoothly from the moment a patient arrives. I always try to stay aware of how each person is feeling, balancing attentiveness with calm and clear communication. Creating a warm and safe environment is important to me, especially for patients who may feel nervous walking through the door.
My path into this work has been shaped by a strong interest in both the surgical and prosthetic sides of dentistry. I graduated in Dental Technology in 2013, which sparked my interest in smile design and the difference it can make in people’s lives. I then completed Surgical Dental Assisting in 2017 and spent five years assisting with full-mouth implant reconstructions in a cosmetic dentistry practice. That experience led me to complete a Bachelor of Nursing in 2023, which has given me a deeper understanding of patient care, healing, and how to respond confidently in different situations.
I currently work full time in a cosmetic dentistry practice, where I help coordinate communication between patients, dentists, and dental laboratories. Making sure everything runs clearly and smoothly is a big part of what I do. When I’m at Haylo, I bring that same focus, helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment.
On a personal note: fair warning, you’ll always know when I’m nearby. Apparently, I’m loud, and I’ve fully embraced it. I love a good challenge and an ambitious idea, which is probably why I’ve recently signed up for a triathlon and am currently learning to swim. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me on a hiking trail. I’ll happily travel just to find a good one. Most of my holidays are spent outdoors and active, often with my nine-year-old son by my side, who shares the same love for outdoor adventure.
Jordan
Dental Nurse/Assistant
Hi, my name is Jordan and I am one of the extraction nurses here at Haylo. I have been connected to dentistry from a young age and have been working in the field since 2017. Over this time, I have built a strong foundation through hands-on experience and ongoing training across a range of areas. My skills include assisting in implant surgery as well as providing chairside support in hygiene, allowing me to adapt to different clinical settings and patient needs.
My focus is always on creating a calm and comfortable experience for every patient. I understand that dental visits can feel stressful, so I aim to make each appointment as smooth and reassuring as possible. By being attentive, gentle, and clear in my communication, I work to ensure patients feel informed, supported, and at ease throughout their treatment.
Outside of work, I enjoy music and songwriting. I play the guitar and piano, and I also love singing. Music is a big part of my life and gives me a creative outlet to relax and recharge.
